1 negative : safety ; 4 x 5 in.

A safety negative from 1920 showing an elderly man and a young girl, photographed by Theodor Horydczak in Washington, D.C.

Horydczak was a commercial photographer active in the capital from around 1890 to 1971. His body of work became part of the Library of Congress collections.

The archive record provides no information about the identities of the sitters or the circumstances of the portrait. The relationship between the two subjects, if any, is not documented. The original negative measured four by five inches, a standard format for professional photography of the period.

Compiled from the catalogue record and reference notes on the formats and events involved. The archive record above is the primary source.
