Portrait, Leopold Harris, circa 1890 - 1900

Portrait of Leopold Harris (1836-1910) was the founder of Los Angeles-based men's clothing retailer Harris and Frank. Harris is photographed from the shoulders up in profile, his body facing forward as he faces to the right and looks off into the distance. He wears a wool suit jacket and bow tie. His hair is parted on the left and slicked to the sides, and he sports a Hulihee beard. Two copies of different sizes were printed of this same composition.
