This portrait of prominent violinist, Jaroslav Kocian "Bohemian Violinist Virtuoso" with autograph is dated July 11, 1903. Jaroslav Kocian was a prominent violin who gained acclaim at a young age. The photograph was autographed (likely to John Morrisey, the manager of the San Francisco Orpheum, the first theatre in the Orpheum Circuit at the time) when Kocian would have only been 20 years old.
