King (also known as King and Lowell) is autographed to John Morrisey with the following note: "To our friend Mr. Morrisey, with sincere thanks for many kindnesses. Yours sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. F.G. King (King and Lovell)". The duo of King and Lovell comprised of husband and wife Mr. and Mrs. F.G. King. The photograph was likely taken and autographed when the duo appeared in for a performance in San Francisco and/or Oakland and likely encountered John Morrisey through his work as manager for the Orpheum San Francisco, the first Orpheum in the country and then in the Orpheum Circuit.
