A formal portrait of Frank Silva and Rosa Pacheco on their wedding day in 1901.¶Both Frank and Rosa left the Azores when they were 17. They meet at a Chamarita in San Rafael. Frank first worked on dairies then went into business, buying several stores on Grant Avenue over the years. With eight partners, he started the Marin-Dell Milk Company in San Francisco, which bought milk in Marin and Sonoma counties. Frank and Rosa were very active in I.D.E.S.I. and community events.
