Manuel is dressed in a suit and tie with mustache. Manuel is holding his daughter Maria, dressed in white. His wife, Mariana, in black in sitting next to them. She has a crucifix on a long chain around her neck.¶Manuel and Mariana Bronco were one of the first families from the Azores to settle in Novato in 1888. Manuel worked in a dairy. In 1893 he and partner Antonio DeBorba started the Black Point Creamery, making cheese. Container Notes:Maria married Joseph Valum. Frank Valum past president of the Novato guild was their son.
