1 negative : glass ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed Helen Goodhart in 1912, the year after he relocated his studio from San Francisco to New York. The portrait exists as a glass negative in the Library of Congress, part of a collection of roughly 20,000 items acquired from Genthe's unclaimed studio after his death in 1942.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style across a career of four decades. His body of work includes several thousand studio portraits alongside images of San Francisco's Chinatown, dance photographs, and autochromes.

The record provides no further information about Helen Goodhart or the circumstances of the sitting.
