1 negative : glass ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed Miss Fassett in 1912, the year after relocating his studio from San Francisco to New York. The portrait survives as a glass negative measuring five by seven inches.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style. After his death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired roughly 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio. The collection includes several thousand studio portraits alongside extensive documentary work.

The record gives no further details about the sitter's identity beyond her surname and the honorific indicating she was unmarried at the time.
