1 negative : nitrate ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed the Loewery children in 1925. The negative, measuring 5 by 7 inches, is held by the Library of Congress.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style. He maintained a studio in San Francisco from 1896 to 1911 before relocating to New York, where he continued photographing into the 1940s.

After Genthe's death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired roughly 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio. The collection includes several thousand studio portraits alongside specialized bodies of work documenting other subjects.
