1 negative : nitrate ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed Lois Lasater in 1921. The image survives as a nitrate negative measuring five by seven inches, now held by the Library of Congress.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style and maintained a portrait studio in New York during this period, having relocated from San Francisco a decade earlier. After his death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired approximately 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio, including several thousand portraits alongside photographs of dance, San Francisco's Chinatown, and color autochromes.

The record provides no further information about the sitter or the circumstances of the sitting.
