1 negative : nitrate ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed Miss Lachaise in 1919, producing a portrait negative on nitrate film measuring five by seven inches. The Library of Congress holds the negative.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style and maintained a studio in San Francisco from 1896 to 1911 before relocating to New York. After his death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired roughly 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio.

The record does not identify Miss Lachaise further or indicate the sitting's location or circumstances.
