1 negative : nitrate ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed Miss Sharps in 1919. The portrait exists as a nitrate negative measuring five by seven inches.

Genthe maintained a studio in New York during this period, having relocated from San Francisco in 1911. He worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style. After his death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired roughly 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio. The collection includes several thousand studio portraits alongside his other photographic work.

The record does not provide Miss Sharps's first name or any details about the sitting.
