1 negative : glass ; 5 x 7 in.

Arnold Genthe photographed the Stalttheimer children in 1915. The image survives as a glass negative measuring five by seven inches.

Genthe worked in the soft-focus pictorialist style and maintained a studio in San Francisco before relocating to New York in 1911. After his death in 1942, the Library of Congress acquired roughly 20,000 items from his unclaimed studio. The collection includes several thousand studio portraits alongside his other photographic work.

The record does not identify the children by first name or specify their ages or relationships. No other details about the Stalttheimer family or the circumstances of the sitting are provided.

Compiled from the catalogue record and reference notes on the formats and events involved. The archive record above is the primary source.
